Pottery Experiences for school age students:
$40 per student
for two sessions

Each session lasts approximately an
hour and a half.

Extra sessions to complete a project
are charged at $10 each/student.

Fee includes approximately one pound
of stoneware clay, glaze, tools,
instruction and two firings (bisque and
glaze).

Finished pieces need to be picked up
when notified after the glaze firing.

There is no pre-set class times -
Sessions are scheduled individually.

Class Descriptions:
Ornaments or Spoon Rests 
These make great keepsake gifts.
1) Students will make ornaments from
rolled clay and prepare them for bisque firing.
2) Students will prepare the pot for glazing and final firing.
Wind Chime 
This class will require one extra session charged at $10
(total class cost is $50) and a thick branch to be drilled for
hanging parts.
1) Students will make wind chime
parts from rolled clay and prepare them for bisque firing.
2) Students will add glaze highlights and prepare them for final firing.
3) Students will assemble the wind chime and take it home.
Rolled Clay Pot 
Make a cereal bowl or a decorative pot.
1) Students will make a rolled clay
pot using a form and prepare it for bisque firing.
2) Students will prepare the pot for glazing and final firing.
Pinch Pot 
1) Students will make a traditional pinch pot and prepare it for bisque
firing.
2) Students will prepare the pot for glazing and final firing.
Marble Bowl 
Makes a great cereal bowl.
1) Students will use a form create a
bowl using ball clay technique, then add impressed highlights and prepare it for
bisque firing.
2) Students will prepare the pot for glazing and final firing.
Coil Pot 
This class may require extra sessions charged at $10 each.
1) Students will make a traditional coil pot using rolling, joining and
decorative techniques and prepare it for bisque firing. This is a complex
pot and may take several sessions to complete.
2) Students will prepare the pot for glazing and final firing.
